The hike led us to a hand-carved amphitheater in the snow, complete with snow-carved chairs surrounding a glowing bonfire waiting for us. Pride party favorites were played for all to dance to before finishing out the day skiing and snowboarding.

After some well-deserved time on the slopes, it was perfect to get inside Mt. Winter PrideFest is one of the best winter pride events, especially if you love a party with live music and dancing in an epic venue like this one.

Closing out the festival, drag queens from Portland and Central Oregon dance their hearts out and share some hilarious moments. We also loved hanging out around the foot Campfire Pit after dark. Unfortunately we don’t have a dedicated gay bar/club in town. The front desk even has guitars to borrow and play around the fire.
